Great southern fusion food! The sweet potato hash is delicious and so are the cajun crabcakes. The menu is a mix of bbq and cajun, there's something for everybody, and not too expensive for the quality of food and atmosphere that you recieve.

Southview restaurant is very classy and tasty..They have the best hamburgers that I have tasted.

Southview is a very well kept secret @ Newport on the Levee. I have found that there typically is never a crowd during dinner which is great not having to wait. I highly recommed the steak (the only one on the menu). The cajun rub gives it a fantastic taste. For the sides, the mac' n cheese, smashed potatoes, collard greens, and Sweet potato hash are all very good as well. For desert you have to try the bourbon pecan pie...if you love derby pie, you'll definitely love this!
